On the sixth edition of the National Contest for Innovative Companies of the Year, organized by the foundation "Applied Research and Communications" in partnership with the Ministry of Economics, Energethics and the Mission of the World Bank in Bulgaria, one of two awards for research organization of the year won Laboratory "CAD/CAM /CAE industry", Faculty of Industrial Technology of Technical University of Sofia, headed by Assoc. Prof. PhD Georgi Todorov. The award was presented personally by the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to the Deputy Head of Laboratory "CAD/CAM/CAE in industry" eng. Borislav Romanov. Laboratory participated in the contest with the product which, is a modular system for high precision cutting of sheet materials with laser, plasma and water jet under high pressure. The award is given for the first time.
